Edward i Corey, at their cottage on Pam-1 lico Beach Sunday. Spring Festival Of Music Department ■«» ■ ■ The Williamston Public School Music Department, under the di rection of Mrs. Beecher M. Pat terson, will present a spring fes tival on Wednesday evening of this week at 8:00 o'clock in the high school auditorium. Three hundred children from the first j grade through the twelfth grade ! will participate. The first graae rythm band, or ganized in January and directed by the first grade teachers, will i make its first public appearance.' They will be well worth hearing. Another new organization in ■ the elementary school is the glee |elub, also organized in January. There are 43 boys and girls from the fourth and fifth grades in the club. They made their first pub-! lie appearance .before, the P.T. A. last montin The glee club decid ed to purchase vestments and many members donated the price of their own vestments. Three hundred dollars of the cost of the vestments have been raised but I a balance of one hundred dollars is still needed. For the past two years the pub lic has been invited to the spring festival without cost. However, this year it will be necessary to make a .small charge to take care of the balance due on the vest- . ments, and expense of special j I music. The public school music department is financed through programs given by the children as no other money is available. The price of admission will be 20 cents for children and 35 cents for adults. Come and hear the three glee clubs, a girls’ trio, mix ed quartet, male quartet, as well as choruses from the different grades. Returns Home Mrs. B. F.
